“Falling to the ground,
I was anxious to be found.
You can always go home,
To the safety of your cloud.
Don’t let go,
I need you to hang around.
I’m so broke,
And foolishly in love”

“Museum of Flight” is the second track to be released from Damien Jurado’s upcoming album, Maraqopa (“Nothing is the News” became available in November of 2011). It’s quick, simple & sad with a weight that gently registers in the sub-conscious thanks to Damien Jurado’s ever-nonchalant vocal delivery & some nicely placed synth-laced melodies that don’t require much work from the listener.

Shortly after the song’s release last week, producer Richard Swift (@swiftswift) tweeted:  “internet: i want you to know that d.jurado sang the vocal for his new single only once. one single take to 2″ tape. dude’s not mucking about” – to dispel any uncertainty, this Jurado fellow is a fucking professional.

The record will be available in stores 02.21.12 (how numerically pleasing of you, Secretly Canadian).
