Favorite Albums of 2013

An intro paragraph for a personal favorites list is kind of pointless since it always boils down to essentially saying “these were my favorite albums of the year due to experiences I had and my personal taste.” So instead I’m going to do a quick few intros as if I were making a list for a different publication.

I took a break from dropping acid and sand surfing with amputee Afghanistan prostitutes to make a bullshit music list. All music all the time is shit and if you sincerely enjoyed or cared about something from this year, you’re the fucking worst. Especially if it’s commercially popular, indie-hipster or anything in between. Anyway, here is my ironic/sarcastic/snarky/trolling/click-bait list and no matter how it comes off, know that I’m in on the joke and honestly don’t care what you think about it, because having positive opinions about things is fucking stupid. Alright, off to do cool shit with horrible people in areas on devastation.

Jr. High Me Writing An Intro Paragraph For An Essay

Websters dictionary defines music as “the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.” In addition to having unity in itself, music also unites people together and unites certain bands and artists together in an individuals mind. In my essay I will show the artist that I enjoyed from the past year, the albums that they released, and provide a favorite song for you that an audience could sample.

Blogger Rocks Music World With Year-End List.

SEATTLE – In a move that several experts have called “incredibly inventive” and “awe-inspiring,” local music blogger Alex Anderson has composed a year end music list unlike anything ever seen before by human eyes.

While somehow avoiding all the usual trappings and pitfalls of other year end list makers, the 26 year old ex record store employee, managed to compose a list so perfect and unique other music publications have given up attempting one themselves.

“At the end of every year you always end up seeing list after list of the same music,” explained reader Conor Heinz. “That was until this year when I took a look at Alex’s list and was blown away by the originality contained within.”

“I mean, he was able to weave in lesser known albums while also plugging in a few larger release as well,” Conor added. “Having Wild Belle at 18 followed by HAIM at 17 was a stroke of genius. And having Pickwick at 4, who thinks to do that?”

Music critics and fans are once again preparing to have everything they know and hold sacred flipped upside down as sources confirm Alex is starting work on a top songs list. “I hear it might be alphabetical instead of numbered” said Heinz, adding “can you even imagine how unconventional and world changing that would be? Blows my fucking mind.”

(In all seriousness, I thought it was a pretty great year for music and could have easily kept going with this list into the hundreds. Also I left off bands I personally know because I felt weird ranking them. Sorry guys!)
