Grandparents – “Arrows” – 2.6.12

“I was hoping that one day I could get over you,
But now, I know…
These holes are made by arrows and I will never truly heal…”

Shoe-gazing while the tumble weeds roll across sloughs made of sand; drenched and drowning in the waning sun.  The horse-galloped-clop set solely against the delicate yet deliberate march of time.

Portland-positioned Grandparents invoke the type of instantaneous appreciation that set your senses to “stun.”  This song kept me up for hours one night, and I set to immediately buying their 4-song self-recorded EP, FUMES, on their Bandcamp.  I insist you do the same.

Here’s to hoping that Grandparents set sail for Seattle soon.
