This was one of the approximately three or four best things that happened at Treefort Music Fest this year, not to mention the most excited I’ve been about anything looped since tUnE-yArDs. This being, Ugly Hussy. Ugly Hussy is Alex Maddalena. Transplanted from New England, Maddalena currently lives in Boise, and Idaho is a perfect fit for this project. Heavy guitar riffs and a mess of pedals, Ugly Hussy’s sound is an expanse of content isolation. Think along the lines of  Youth Lagoon’s first record, but harder and sans vocals.
