[News] Who are the 30 Richest Drummers?
Stereogum shared Celebrity Net Worth‘s compilation of the 30 richest drummers in the world. That’s right folks, drummers get paid. So do bassists, but I don’t think we’ll never see a “30 richest bassists” article. Not that they don’t deserve it, I think most people just imagine bassists and drummers sleeping very comfortably on the expensive couches of the guitarists and singers.
I recommend checking out the full list, but here’s a quick summary for those who just care to see the interesting ones. I’ll start at the bottom:
#29 Steven Adler (Guns N’ Roses, $15 million) “… Steven Adler played on one and a half Guns N’ Roses albums, that he’s been generally unfamous and making the Celebrity Rehab rounds for the past two decades, and that he’s still worth $15 million.” – Sterogum
#27 Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters, $20 million) – I love Taylor Hawkins and he deserves all the jewels andLambos he chooses to buy.
#21 Danny Carey (Tool, $40 million) – Badass
#20 Tre Cool (Green Day, $45 million) – Tre Cool is worth $5 million more that Danny Carey. They shouldn’t not be on the same list.
#17 Jon Fishman (Phish, $60 million)/#18 Carter Beauford (Dave Matthews Band, $55 million) – So manymusic festivals
#10 Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers, $90 million) #11 Travis Barker (Blink-182, $85 million) Two faves
#06 Charlie Watts (The Rolling Stones, $160 million)
#05 Lars Ulrich (Metallica, $175 million) Poor guy. Napster screwed ol’ Lars pretty good.
#03 Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters, $225 million) The ultimate rockstar
#01 Ringo Starr (The Beatles, $300 million) Not too surprising
